Review: October Calendar Girl Stitchery

Recently I got the October Calendar Girls Stitchery kit from Adornit.

I haven't done any sort of embroidery or cross stitching projects in many years, so I was really excited to give it a go!

I started at the hair, but I truly just bounced all around, not working in any particular order. One moment I would want to work on the girl, the next moment I want to work on the words. Sometimes I wanted to work with purple, other times I wanted to try out the yellow or green. LOL

Being a craft blogger and crochet pattern designer, this project was actually quite relaxing. It was great to sit back, turn on some music, and stitch just for fun.

Listening to music is something I don't always get to do. I crochet more often than I do other crafts and I need to be able to keep track of my numbers and steps I take, or I may be typing up the pattern, and music makes it hard for me to concentrate on the details.

Overall, this project only took me 3 days or about 10 hours. I would  still consider myself a beginner, because I haven't done this in a very long time and have only done it a few times anyway, so it may go quicker for other people.

You can sign up for the Calendar Girls Stitch MONTHLY or YEARLY subscription. I think these would make really great gifts for all the women in your life. They could be used for so much more, like a wall calendar or quilt, too!

I also have these two adorable prints that I can't wait to play with:

Here is my overall finished piece. I used a piece of scrapbook paper from the Spooky Ghost Collection to make a matting and I framed it.

Halloween is my favorite holiday, so I'm elated to have this new decoration!

Pop on over to Adornit and check out their goodies! They have many fabulous Fall and Halloween crafts... and so much more!

Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Thank you for crafting with me today!

I'd love to have you join the She's So Creative Crafter Community on Facebook! Come on over and show us what you're working on!
