I have been a creative soul since I was very young and it’s something I’ve always been called to do: make things with my hands!
Throughout my life I’ve heard people say “Wow, she’s so creative!” And that’s how She’s So Creative got it’s name!
I started out making barbie clothes and friendship bracelets and have been adding new crafts to my arsenal ever since. I like to try every medium at least once!
I’ve also been a crochet pattern designer since 2012! Over my crochet design career, I’ve noticed myself drawn to adding other mediums where possible. This made me realize that I can’t be tied to one craft and subsequently why I started this site!
Crochet will always be my first love, though! In fact, there’s a whole Blackstone Designs Crochet Community! I’d love to have you join if you’re into crocheting!
And you can join the She’s So Creative Crafter Community to share your awesome craft projects with us! They don’t even have to be from a She’s So Creative tutorial!
So, what do I do when I’m not creating? I’m dreaming about it!
I’m a Wife and Mom of three, living in the gorgeous state of Maine. I have two boys ages 19 and 16, and a 7 year old daughter! So, we all know what that means: I’m busy! When I’m not creating, I’m usually driving my kids somewhere (Football, Baseball, Theater…), I’m cooking, I’m cleaning (meh, sometimes), and secretly wishing I had a Nanny that could do all that stuff, so I could just swim in a sea of glitter all day!
Sometimes I like to relax with a good book or play puzzle games (gotta keep that brain strong). I recently started learning Spanish and have been trying to refresh myself on Japanese, but boy are they serious when they say “use it or lose it”!
Otherwise, all of my hobbies truly are creativity related. Whether I want to DIY a birthday card, refinish furniture, or even paint the walls, I just love creative expression. But don’t bother talking to me at tax time, because I hate math and I’m not having any fun! LOL!
